From the Desk of Anita M. Alkire
President of GWRRA
I am pleased to announce and introduce to you TEAM GWRRA Presidential Assistants. This new role on TEAM GWRRA works much as all Assistants do in GWRRA, they are there to back up the Director, in this case the President and to serve as my advisory TEAM along with TEAM GWRRA. These Presidential Assistants work for all of GWRRA, they are not area specific. Please welcome them.
Bruce and Barb Beeman
Attending the International Bike Show in Minneapolis, MN in 2002, Bruce and his friends stopped at the GWRRA booth and his history path with GWRRA started. As with many, 2 months later he was asked to be ACD. He has been in service to the GWRRA Members ever since. He went on to be MN-R CD; Assistant and then Director of Minnesota; Region E Directors and then Deputy Directors. Bruce and Barb are the 2014 International Directors of the Year. Bruce and Barb are fully committed to our Members in all that they do and we welcome them to the TEAM.Attending the International Bike Show in Minneapolis, MN in 2002, Bruce and his friends stopped at the GWRRA booth and his history path with GWRRA started. Jere and Sherry Goodman
Members since 1992, Jere and Sherry have held many positions in GWRRA. Jere
even served as The Director. He also served as a Member of the Event Management Team for Wing Ding. They are active in their Chapter today and are both a Level 4 Master Tour Rider. Sherry rides a 2013 1800 Trike and Jere a 2016 1800 Trike. The depth of their experience and knowledge will be a great help to the Officers and Members in GWRRA, they "look forward to continuing as Officers in this newly created position enabling us to continue to serve the
Membership and GWRRA," and I'm excited to have them on the TEAM.
Francois and Chantal Seguin
Riding from the age of 12, Francois and 16, Chantal started their passion for motorcycles. They have worked their way up in motorcycles as many of us have, joined GWRRA in 2005 riding a Honda V65 Magna and V45 Magna. It was a group of friends that were curious and loved to ride that brought them in and have given them many riding adventures. They have been featured by Honda Canada on their matching F6B's, that their kids say are very cool. They have held many positions, been on the local drill team and enjoy the fun and camaraderie offered by GWRRA. Recent Region K Directors, Francois and Chantal are educating me and TEAM GWRRA about Canada. Welcome to the TEAM.
Bob and Nan Shrader
Service is in the fiber of Bob and Nan! Bob served in the Army as an aviator and then 34 years in Law Enforcement. Nan shows attention to detail, first as a haircutter, advancing to a Regional Manager and then going into business for herself for 21 years as a massage therapist. They understand people and have demonstrated their leadership in GWRRA since joining in 1993. They have experienced GWRRA from an Officer point of view, serving from Chapter Director, District, Region, to Deputy, as well as from the honor of a Couple of the Year from Chapter to competing at Wing Ding as the Region A Couple. They believe in GWRRA by sharing the word and fun, with 126 recruits which puts them in the Hall of Fame! Nan has become Chapter Director again, being recognized as a Senior CD and her Chapter was runner up as the International Chapter of the Year. Their outstanding leadership, separately and together earned them the recognition of the 2017-2018 International Director of the Year. The depth of their commitment comes through in all that they do. I am honored that they decided to continue to serve our Membership on TEAM GWRRA.
Tom and Renee Wasluck
Tom and Renee are also International Directors of the Year in 2015-2016. With this award comes recognition of leadership. If you are interested in opening a successful Chapter, Tom and Renee are the best guides ever opening 8 Chapters in Region B as Senior Region Directors. They joined in 1997 and are fully involved with all aspects of GWRRA which gives them an incredible perspective. They have never lost sight of the enjoyment of the ride with easily over 200,000 miles since joining, most with friends and family. They show their commitment to safety as Master Tour Riders. They live by our motto, "Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge" and are ready to share that with the Members in GWRRA. What an amazing addition to our TEAM.
Don and Sharon Weber
Vendors, Members and Officers, Don and Sharon have seen GWRRA and the Membership from many perspectives. Don and Sharon became District Directors of Idaho and brought the state back to life. Just listen to anyone from Idaho as they shout, "Idaho Rocks". Their leadership and perspective add a great view to this TEAM. I am delighted to have them join the TEAM.
Dan and Rachel Sanderovich
Dan and Rachel join the TEAM with a new title. They are the Executive Directors Overseas. They are responsible for growing GWRRA in all aspects. Dan wants to "transfer the GWRRA legacy and values to Gold Wing Riders all over the Globe." He wants to, and the TEAM is behind him, bring Overseas the programs we enjoy now, Rider Education, Membership Enhancement and GWRRA University. He and Rachel have been instrumental in instilling enthusiasm overseas and have succeeded in getting ITCP Certified Instructors and now ARC (Advanced Rider Course) Instructors already in place. They are on their way to accomplishing that legacy. We are pleased to have them at the helm Overseas and the TEAM is ready to assist and embrace Dan and Rachel on the TEAM.
